Agree with handbagaddiction the lakeland stainless steel cleaner is the best by miles. No streaks.
Its in a navy blue spray can and costs about £4.

Brushed SS is more \www.ssb2.net/users/3730/dsp_brushed_stainless_steel.jpg\this} sort of look. I used to have it as a splash back in our last place. Thought I had made the biggest mistake ever until a friend introduced me to Bar Keepers Friend, other than that I had used brillo pads a la Moondog but never had access to paper for drying cows teats, will need to put that on the shoppping list. Grin

Twiglett · 20/06/2006 15:58

clean it with soapy water .. dry it with e-cloth

put a few drops baby oil on a kitchen towel and rub all over

and when you've finished you can do that to your cooker hood Grin

wd40.

The best thing to get greasy finger marks off anything stainless steel. Trust me ive got stainless steel appliances and its the only think I found that works, also removes any small rust marks.

Cod · 20/06/2006 18:20

Really! WD40 works just for smears and finger marks.
I use it on my cooker to get the finger marks off and on the hob to get rid of water marks.

smoggie · 27/06/2006 21:11

good old MN - once again!
Have just had spanky new kitchen installed with stainless steel range cooker & extractor hood and was beginning to despair that it would ever look new again. Whatever posessed me to get a stainless steel cooker at floor level with a 14mo and 3yo??? Mad mad mad. Off to get baby oil and bar keepers friend tomorrow - although think we've got WD40 in garage..HHmmm dh might flip if he saw me going near it with that!

If you need magimix machines or parts go to this
for any Magimix products including whole machines you can ring 01252 727755 they were brilliant thier service is 10/10

feckit · 25/09/2006 19:30

come to this rather late, but we use methylated spirits on our stainless steel cooker hood - it removes all trace of cooking grease and costs about 60p from wilko for a bottle that will last you ages.

makemineadouble · 25/09/2006 20:23

Another late idea! johnsons baby wipes!! fantastic just buff after with kitchen roll

buktus · 25/09/2006 20:25
