Has anyone got this? Do you use it regularly, do you have any tips on how to use it efficiently?

I started with it and then it annoyed me as it seemed silly to be ticking off stars for really regular jobs like walking the dog. But if you didn't put them on the list then you could still spend all morning being busy and doing jobs like laundry with out 'ticking' anything off!

The rotating zones thing was quite useful but once I started to use my phone Reminders as my To-Do list I found that was more useful as I could allocate jobs under different categories and to particular dates.

I went and looked at it again. I still think the daily things are annoying but the zones could be useful.

I had zones (6) for each area of the house and rotated them each week so once every 6 weeks that area came round and I did another job off the list eg. sort through medicine cabinet in the bathroom, go through cupboard under the stairs. Problem I found was that lots of these jobs are once a year jobs rather than monthly so it was better to put them on a one off to-do list.

But you could work it so that you had zones for other things eg. financial paperwork.

But you still have to choose whether you rotate all zones weekly OR monthly. I'd like an entire list of jobs that you could allocate either weekly (filing, paying bills, bins) OR monthly OR even yearly (review house insurance).

Anyone else?

I used it a quite a bit yesterday and agree although the daily things are going to get me into a decent habit .

Right now I am lying on a white sandy beach with the Med licking at my feet, so not much housework today!

I've had it for over a year.

Use it daily, and my son has his own copy on his iPod so he and DH can stay on top of their tasks.

I played with jigging and rejigging the morning/eve and focus zones.

I made a list of things that needed doing every day as I did them, then split them into "do BEFORE mumsnetting" which bacame the morning list, the rest went on the eve list, as in do before you fall over too tired to move.

I did one room at a time making a list of the jobs I always tend to do and the ones I tend to forget. Then put them in order of importance in terms of regularity, so if I don't always finish the list it's the non "end of the world if gets forgotten about sometimes" jobs.

Then fiddled with which zone number they were in until I had them set up so I didn't have mad days and thumb twiddling days.

Took me a while til I was happy with how I set it up, but once I was, just left it alone only to add new stuff as it cropped up.

I'm going to see how it goes once we're all back at work/school. I don't see myself doing much in the morning before we all leave, but might mange to get into some kind of routine when we get back as opposed to the routine of collapsing on the couch with my iPad and a cup of tea !

I switched to the Priorities app - I find it a bit more flexible. You can set up different 'pages' for different types of jobs (I have daily, weekly, monthly, one-off etc), and choose for the task to be regenerated at a specific time e.g. every Wednesday or X days/weeks etc after completion. So, for example, if you do a weekly jobs a few days late, you're not being reminded to do it again in another few days when it only needs to be done once every 7 days or so. You can also choose to be reminded of jobs on the day or in advance.

It also syncs with my phone calendar so I can see what needs to be done on any given day when I look at my calendar too.

betterwhenthesunshines - Priorities might be better at doing what you're looking for? You can choose things to be done in any number of days/weeks/months/years and you could set up 'pages' for zones so household admin, deep clean jobs, monthly tasks etc. Or just have one long list on one page.
