Can anyone recommend one? And are the ones with the smaller bit you take off and clean other surfaces with worth it?

Please help- need to get my house sorted and this might be a massive step in the right direction! Thank you Smile

I've got a Shark 2 in 1, and it's very light, so I actually use it, both as a mop and as the removable piece, whereas with my old steamer and even the Polti Pocket, I couldn't be bothered.

Also, the Shark one doesn' t have a pressurised tank, it can be refilled without waiting (another nuisance of the larger tanked steamers).

I had one and it really isn't worth it. Just a mop and bucket does the job.

I love my x5. Don't use all attachments all the time but do use them. Kitchen actually gets mopped now!

TBH mine isn't the miracle product I hoped it would be, the best way to clean a grubby floor is on your hands and knees with a scrubbing brush.

Mine is the Lakeland one (I actually bought it at Costco and they still had them recently), it was £35. It is brilliant and is far better than a mop & bucket - it does a much better job, far easier and with less mess! Not to mention how quickly it dries!! Wouldn't ever be without one again. You do not need to be on your hands and knees scrubbing a floor - that's why you get a steam mop!

This the the model after mine

I've got the shark pocket steam mop and I luffs it Grin I have vinyl flooring and it's fantastic. I love the removable handheld steamer too, and you even get a bag for all the attachments. It was a recent bday present from dh (I really wanted it, he's not a knob) and I can't stop using it, and thinking about where I can use it next! So much easier than mop and bucket and the floors dry in seconds!

I bought a Lakeland steam mop recently - the new, more expensive one which bends. Not worth it for the 'back saver' aspect as it doesn't push very well when bent so I'd say go for the cheaper one. But I like mine well enough and I can't be bothered to send it back in the hope of a bargain. Floors look cleaner than when I mop them and dry much faster.
