Nasty cleaning question

OK, so, I have a nightguard (dental appliance that I wear on my front teeth at night to stop me from grinding my teeth in my sleep).

A few days ago I took it out in the morning and it spun out of my hand and into the loo brush. It was there for a couple of days as I didn't find it straight away. How can I disinfect it? (It will cost around £150 to replace outright and cannot be boiled as that will melt its inner grippy surface and render it useless).

Obviously this is yet another reason why loo brushes are bad news but please help! It's had a couple of soaks in its normal dental appliance cleaning solution so far. I will close my mind to the horribleness of it all as long as I'm sure it is clean Grin

Not sure you'd want to dishwasher it, they get really hot... Milton!

Thanks everyone. Going to get some Milton.

I think the dishwasher will get too hot, even on lowest setting.

And thanks for not laughing at my misfortune!
