Some is about to go in dishwasher...some is soaking in sink.

We have masses. Should I just chuck it in the bath?

Use a net for delicates and throw it in the washing machine on a cool wash?

LynetteScavo · 09/08/2013 16:59

I don't have a net (we don't do delicates around here, lol!)

Right, I'm putting it in the bath.

Washing up liquid, or something else?

pillow case?

crumpledinside · 09/08/2013 17:02

Dishwasher works well

PeterParkerSays · 09/08/2013 17:03

Was going to suggest a pillow case but xpost with Spottypurse.

Fasten it with a couple of safety pins to stop it coming out and bung on a low wash.

5madthings · 09/08/2013 17:03

Pillow case in washing machine or in bath and shower and bubbles .

lunar1 · 09/08/2013 17:04

Washing machine works well, I put a large towel in to stop it rattling about

LegoRelatedInjury · 09/08/2013 17:07

Fill big deep bubble bath. Sit child in bath. Empty duplo in. Let child play for ages while you mn sitting on the toilet with a glass of wine. Grin

LynetteScavo · 09/08/2013 17:09

I've put it in the bath, which is nearly full, so I think it would have taken a few loads in the washing machine.

I will use a pillow case next time. Smile

Shame! Maybe you could still do the Mning and wine drinking anyway.

LynetteScavo · 09/08/2013 17:44

Mum's taxi hasn't logged off for today, so no wine yet. Sad

Now, the best way to dry it......could I stick it in the tumble dryer, do you reckon?

Might not be a good idea with it being plastic.

I just emptied mine out onto a giant bath sheet and let it air dry overnight.

LynetteScavo · 09/08/2013 19:16

I'll let it air dry, but I think Duplo could cope with pretty much anything. This is 14 years worth of collection, which I'm now packing away for any future grandchildren. Sad

I pour in bath, add cold water and throw in a few Milton tablets. Let it clean for hour then drain. I let it air dry.

So morning in bath, takes all day to dry I think so do on day when bath isn't needed in eve.

Poppy4453 · 09/08/2013 19:24

Washing machine or dishwasher. In a net!

I've washed loads and the bath is the hardest way.

LynetteScavo · 09/08/2013 20:50

I now have a bath of wet Duplo. I should have just waited and bought a net.

Dishwasher and then finish drying with teatowel.

LynetteScavo · 09/08/2013 22:06

I could only get 5% into the dishwasher. It wasn't really a serious option.

The amount of dust left in the bottom of the bath was Shock.

I am trying to dry with towels. Lots of towels.

Put them in the washer on cool in an old pair of tights, but clanking could be noisy. Id go for either a bath or paddling pool then kids can mess with them in the pool and get them clean a the same tme. Blast them with the hose or shower head if in the bath or You could leave them with sterilising tablets in bath ovenight?
