Kitchen Floors

How does everyone keep their kitchen floors clean? I vacuum mine and then use a mop and bucket but there are always stubborn marks and bits that just won't come up. I have a bad back so can't get on hands and knees like my mother suggested(!). It's a laminate floor that's seen better days and can't afford to replace (gaps between boards etc) so can't use steam mop. Thanks in advance.

Do you use bleach? A good strong bleach solution might work.

I'll give that a try, thanks

Ideally - daily vacuum followed by a quick whip round with an e-mop (so just plain water with that).
When it needs more it has to be hands and knees with hot water with biological washing powder and a splash of bleach (with white cleaning cloth and kitchen scourer where needed) and dried as I go along with a standard ecloth.
I have a go with washing up liquid in hot water with a splash of bleach or biological washing powder in hot water in your situation first - I've always found that both of those work better than anything like flash etc.

I use the Max mop dry for quick cleaning, if there is a stubborn mark then I use a spray bottle with soapy water and then go over it more vigorously with the mop, the ecloth end with abrasive bits seems to be adequate if the mark is soaked.

But looking at that site I might invest in the flat mop with spray attachment to be really idle.

I also find scrubbing on hands and knees with a brush works best. So as that's not an option for you, could you improvise with a long handled hard broom (like a garden broom) dunked in cleaning solution, then dry with a clean, flat head mop?

May be worth a go, on the other hand, it may be a terrible idea!

I have a flat mop with a spray attachment nenmo, but I don't really rate it. It's good for a once over, but I find it just knocks whatever bits are lying around into the grouting gaps between tiles, doesnt get into corners, and doesn't have enough friction for tough stains. That said, it depends what type of flooring you have - It was great on my old wood effect laminate. If youre not using it on tiles/tough stains, The only annoyance is you should really machine wash the material mop attachment after every use.

I will probably stick with the separate sprayer then Hercy thank you. It is a laminate fake wood floor I use it on and I do machine wash the pad (I have 2).
