battery operated lamp...

Needed for my side of the bed for late night breastfeeds. As I have a cot pulled up alongside I need something that will attach to the headboard rather than it needs a cabinet to stand on. Added complication is that there is no plug socket so battery powered would be preferable.

Have tried the usual places like Argos, ikea, Google searches but I haven't found anything that fits the bill. I think some kind of reading light that you see in those little catalogues you sometimes get with Sunday paper, but not sure if they will attach to the bed.

Can anyone help? Or a bright idea on what I could do? I don't want to have to get up to turn on the main light as it defeats the purpose of the bedside cot and I don't want it so light and bright that DD wakes up fully...

Thanks

Ps I could run an extension cable so battery powered is not essential just a preference...

What about a camping store or website?

Could you get an ikea ghost light that you charge up during the day. Then you can just put the ghost bit on the floor till you need it and then give it a press when you need it.

Waterstones sell little clip on lights for reading - they usually keep them near the tills.

I ended up getting the kindle app for my iPhone and reading at the lowest brightness - added bonus was being able to read with one hand, and also using the screen as a flashlight to see where DS was.

I have something called a mighty bright as my reading light. It's actually for reading music so has a big clip that should attach to a headboard. Search for mighty bright light on amazon and it comes up (sorry rubbish at links!)

Ooh that mighty bright looks like it might just do the job.
Thank you I will get it ordered and hopefully that will make night feeding much easier!
