Are they any good with lots of dog hair?

If you have a dog- does your dog attack it?

Are there good versions of roomba that are cheaper?

How much should i expect to pay for a decent enough one?

Where can i get one?

I loved the idea of them,

right up until I read a thread on here where someone came home to find it had been trying to clean up diarrhoea, and spread it across the whole house, as well as the roomba being completely clogged up with it,

since I read that, I have mentioned it to the various people who I know with one, all have a version of the story,

which leads me to believe I don't want one, as I want complete control of what is being spread about the house, as well as sucked up.

I had one, and have quite quickly reverted back to a regular vacuum. My issues were it bumping the skirting board and marking the paintwork, and leaving stripes in the carpet along the hall wall where it used to run.
Nice idea but not so great in practice in my experience,
Plus I had the pet one but pet hair still clogged the brushes and upset the sensors.

Thank you both! Vom at the thought of diarrhoea spread around the house and in the roomba itself!

Looks like i'll have to persevere with henry and regular dog brushing.

I love the dyson animal,(pull along one) it really works, just needs emptying a lot, and wash the filters a lot.

but even if one animal had an accident or was sick a year, it quite a big thing to go wrong, they go into overdrive as the sensors detect a problem.

I agree quote about the dyson animal. Im a cleaner and one of my clients has one and i love it. If i was buying a new vacuum cleaner that would be it tbh- my issue is that my dog is producing hair constantly- he lives indoors- although restricted to downstairs- and even with weekly brushing i can hoover and ten minutes later there are balls of fluff floating through the air. He is a golden retriever. I know its to be expected but its really getting to me so i thought if a roomba could vacuum every half hour or so that might help contain the problem.
