Does having a shower make the bathroom dirtier?

Do you think the volume of steam, and then water spraying everywhere, with bits of skin and detergent etc. spreading it around the whole room, make bathrooms dirtier than just a bath?

I'm sure this bathroom is dirtier than when we had a house with no shower.

Bathrooms are dirty places. Strange, when it's where you go to get clean.

We have a bathroom, we have a shower room and they are equally dirty. Probably the dirtiest places in the house. (Except behind the fridge - that's in its own dirty place league.)

Dirt circulates more because of the way the air currents move / water flows from the power shower due to the motor and extractor fan. I think it is more statically charged, so dust off your clothes and towels spread more. I use a long handled radiator brush to get rid of the dust bunnies and lint behind the radiator. The shelves and tiling needs cleaning more often than I thought possible.

Bleach cures the grime on the hard surfaces though.

have you got an effective extractor fan?

I think the skin particles wafted off the towels stick to walls that are moist with condensation. the dirtiest patch is towards the extractor.

Exfoliated skin makes grey dust.

No extractor fan, I open the window when I have a shower.
