Cleaning Shower

After many years of living with a manky old shower with mouldy grouting, we are finally getting to have a new bathroom.

I obviously want to keep the new one looking clean and white. What's the best way to achieve this?

Do you clean it after every shower, or is once a week sufficient? Are there any special cleaning products that you use?

Many thanks.

I use a daily shower spray - spray it around after the last person has showered in the morning ans repeat at night if necessary. It doesn't need rinsed off. I find Wilkinsons own is far better than mr muscle.

Then it should only need a good scrub about once a month, depending how heavily it gets used. I use flash spray with bleach for this Smile

It needs a quick rinse after every shower, spray a cleaner round it and swoosh down. I use the towel I've used to wipe over the glass doors, then it's straight into the washer. Dettol Mould and Mildew remover spray once a month (or so) is great for the corners and grout to lift the dark patches but keep on top of it, it takes no time and our shower still looks like new a couple of years down the line. :)

I have loved getting a new bathroom and keeping it clean and sparkling. Agree with the tip of drying after cleaning (I live in a hard water area). If there's time I buff with a third cloth to see my reflection.

Definitely yes to one of those shower shine sprays after last use in the morning and evening. You can make them yourself with white vinegar but it stinks so shower spray is one of my only cleaning product luxuries. Also, when i clean my shower screen, after the main cleaner I wash with car shampoo with wax in it, which apparently leaves a film and stops water marks from building up. Ive had my new shower screen over 2 years and it looks brand new. I do this once a fortnight.

And use only shower gel not soap. Soap will leave scum and white marks everywhere
