Water rings on wood

DM kindly put a wet vase of flowers on my new beloved - saved - up - for - months - for - wooden table.
It now has white rings on it. Any ideas how to get rid of them? It is solid sheesham wood if that helps?

(Sad) :(

Silver polish?? Never would have tried that. Lakeland is on the errands list tomorrow then! Thanks :)

Mayonnaise or heating with a hairdryer or iron ( through a cloth) are cheap and worth a go.

Mayonnaise??? I have some in the fridge now, will slather on! Low fat to the rescue....!

I seem to remember rubbing salt and oil into sheesham wood. I did the hairdryer thing too and one of them worked quite well. Sorry I can't remember which one.

Many thanks everyone, a hairdryer has worked enough for me to stop worrying, and hoping lake lands best will hide the remainder :)

That's great, lovely when something works out.
