Cat hair on clothes - anything I can use in washing to remove?

Hi all,
Is there anything I can do / put in the wash with clothes with cat hairs on them that will separate the cat hairs from the garments? Any interesting home remedies?
I know I can use one of those sticky rollers after the wash - but was just wondering if there was a way of getting rid in the wash?

Thanks

Do you have a tumble dryer? I'd wash, then tumble dry, the hairs should stick together in the tumble dryer or stick to the fluff filter.

I used Sellotape wrapped round my hand. Before washing.

Everything I own has a light covering of cat hair, we tend to use one of those sticky rollers before we go out.

Line drying also seems to help too so does not letting the cats sleep in the laundry basket

If you put a wet j cloth in the dryer, you may find the hairs stick to it rather than the clothes. A microfibre cloth is even better.

Lucis- does the mircof cloth have to be wet too? Thanks for the tip! :)

Yes has to be wet - the sticky-out fibres should attract the hairs. If dry, the fibres will initially be repellent because of static. I think Grin

Thank you :)
