Gah! Teething marks on teak furniture!

We're subletting a house for the summer that has a beautiful mid-century teak (I think) desk in it. But i just noticed this afternoon that DD (20 months and still teething) apparently decided that it is to her front teeth what cuttlefish is to a budgie, and she's left several patches where she's gnawed off the surface. It's not dented, but it's a bit rough and the colour of the wood has been removed. Any suggestions for sorting it out? Flowers for anyone who can help save some of our deposit!

I'm sorry, I'm no help, but I'll watch with interest if anyone has any solutions as my teething Labrador did the same to a lot of our wood furniture.

In theory, sanding it down could work. But I'd be too worried about ruining it.

I noticed in Lakeland in the same shelf as the leather polish little bottles of coloured liquid in different shades for repairing chipped wood, obviously it won't remove the actual dent'sbut could help camouflage them? I am thinking about trying it for the chipped feet of our sofa... Good luck!

Thanks for the tip about the Lakeland stuff - may have a look!

yes to wood oils.
before applying make a paste of loo roll/kitchen and water and leave on the dents for a few hours. it will make the wood expand back.
