aargh another pair of jeans has emerged from the wash with a grease mark on it. grease is the one thing i cant seem to shift from my laundry. i upgraded detergent from own brand to ariel and if i know there is a mark i spray it first but a good few kids tops have been ruined. any tips? someone must be able to advise!

Easy!

Rub some washing up liquid (Fairy, own-brand, doesn't matter) really well into the greasy mark, then wash it again as normal in the washing machine.

If it hasn't completely disappeared after the first treatment, do it again.

Works for me Smile

Fairy liquid.

It works really well if things have got gravy made with meat juices spattered down the front.

I use eucalyptus oil, Just drop a bit on the stain ( no rubbing required) and put in the wash. The stains are always gone first time and the whole wash smells lovely . You only need the tiniest bit, just so it covers the grease. A bottle lasts me years.

Swarfega works well too, though do an extra rinse as it makes your washing pong a bit.

For normal oily splashes I generally use Dr Beckmans cooking oil & fat remover.

Another vote for Fairy. Shout (spray stain remover) is also fab on grease marks, but I haven't seen it for ages in my local supermarkets. Perhaps it's been discontinued.
