In shoes to get rid of smelly shoes smell.

Made up into a paste to clean things.

Small pot in the fridge to keep it smelling fresh.

burberryqueen · 20/06/2013 09:11

brushing teeth and cleaning the hob

tharsheblows · 20/06/2013 09:11

I put a bunch in the bottom of the bin below the bag to catch any drips and keep smells down. Also in the fridge - again for smells - and have used to gently scrub off hair dye from a countertop.

PoppyAmex · 20/06/2013 09:15

It's great as a mattress freshener.

GemmaTeller · 20/06/2013 09:20

getting the tannin marks out of mugs and cups

I use it to clean the bathroom. Does a great job.

Tried washing my hair with it last week - the Apple Cider Vinegar rinse after not exactly right, but will certainly give it another go.

pigglepaggle · 20/06/2013 13:26

Used it when an overnight guest had an accident on my settee.
The seat cushions were really wet and I hadn't a clue what to do about
drying/cleaning them or getting rid of the odour. Friend suggested bi-carb and I sprinkled loads over the cushions and left to dry in the conservatory. It worked.
Second teeth brushing too.

Rascalls3 · 21/06/2013 01:44

I use it diluted with water to refresh plastic bottles/tuppreware boxes and thermos bottles. Use 1/2-1 tsp and fill with cold water. Leave for a few hours and containers will smell as fresh as a daisy!

Great as a facial scrub for sensitive skins with spots.

Leviticus · 23/06/2013 09:43

My mum swears by it for everything. A thick paste applied to insect bites and allowed to dry draws the poison out apparently.

Chocolatehunter · 13/07/2013 00:42

I sprinkle it in cups and over my sink, then add white vinegar, it fizzes and when you rinse everything is left clean and sparkling

delasi · 13/07/2013 23:43

Down the plughole, add vinegar flush with boiling water after about 5-10mins.

Good for keeping it clean and fat-free Smile

delasi · 13/07/2013 23:44

However the suggestions above are great, I didn't know the other uses and think I may be trying all of them...!

redwellybluewelly · 14/07/2013 16:19

We use it when toddler has had accidents on mattress (though usually have a protective cover on)

Cleaning tough stains on worktops and on sinks

Yonihadtoask · 14/07/2013 16:23

Neutralising my facial acid peels.

;)
