Memory foam mattress toppers

Hello,

We have problems with our bed Hmm

It's beautiful, and was a gift from my mum for a big birthday a few years ago.

The mattress has been past its best for a while - it has dips and bumps, and the odd spring poking out.

We've tried to replace the mattress, but have unfortunately found that our handmade bed is no in fact a full long size, and we were basically lucky that the mattress we have fits!

So, rather than replacing the whole bed or having a mattress made, I wondered if a memory foam mattress topper might be the answer

Do you have one? Is it worth it? And where did you get it from?

Thanks!

B&M about £30 king size, was brilliant, but now have full tempur mattress.
previous mattress that had died a bit was pretty much restored with mattress topper. Would totally recommend it.

Have you looked on ebay for short or shorty mattresses? You may find you can get one to fit.

Ours is brilliant got it from Amazon. We're even going to take it on holiday with us (this country obviously)

Lovely - will start with a £30 ish one and see how we go.

We have some John Lewis vouchers to spend but was shocked to see they were £150!

They do take a bit of getting used to heatwise. Easily solved by sleeping in the least clothes possible. Not for you if you like fleecy pyjamas.

We have one really comfortable was about £100 from memory foam warehouse (superfine). We got a cool max cover. It is on the warm side but I sleep naked so doesn't feel too hot (do worry about hot flushes and the menopause tho)
