What can I use instead of Mr Sheen?... eco-friendly dusting, anyone?

Hi all

In an effort to use fewer chemicals, I am wondering how I can do my usual dusting without spray polish. What do you use? Googling has thrown up olive oil/lemon juice stylee polish, but I'm not shining to a gleam...?

Any advice would be appreciated :) Thanks.

Get one of those static brush duster things. The dust just sticks to them.

I use Method "touch wood" polish or sometimes beeswax on wood. On any other surfaces I just use a microfibre duster.

Just a dry duster then? And the dust doesn't just fly off into the room? How can I not have known this for the last 30 years...!

I use a damp cloth first to collect the dust, then buff over with a dry one.

microfibre cleaning cloth? I like mine and I like the one for making the taps/kettle/toaster gleam.

Damp e cloth (general purpose or dusting), followed by polishing cloth. Lots of eco brands do furniture polish too - method, bio-d and earth friendly for example.

Ever so slightly dampen a regular duster. It will be sufficient.

just a microfibre cloth soaked in hot water then wrung out

works just as well
