Title says it all really. DDs have just got bunk beds and they're a complete pain in the arse to get sheets on!? Any tips?

Jersey fitted sheets might be the way forward. Easier to get on than cotton ones. I am not sure where you would get them in the UK though - they are quite common in Germany for things like this.

La Redoute have them for £6 Grin

I thank you.

Take the mattress off (i usually employ DH to do it) or get the DC to change their own sheets

Lidl used to do jersey sheets every now and again which I've found v helpful with the bunk beds.

I think I saw some in dunelm.
The only thing is a lot of bunk beds are only 2ft6ins and the standard 3ft fitted sheets are too baggy. Amhik!!

It's a nightmare!

My dses have high cabin beds rather than bunks. I use a step but I still have to climb on the bed. I hate it! Ds2's is the Ikea one and it's so high! Ds1's is not so high but the mattress is really substantial so difficult to get the sheet into position.

They love their beds though and they free up lots of space on the room so we suffer it.

Great thread! My back is KNACKERED from changing DS1&2's bunks. Going to check out the la redoute sheets tonight, thanks Boffin Smile
