Water meter

I'm about to move into a house that has one, eek! We're currently unmetered and pay very little a month.

However we do use a lot of water, DS has a medical condition that requires sometimes 2 showers daily, I put the other 2 in the bath together.
I bath everyday (again medical condition means showers are a struggle)

We use the dishwasher once a day and the washing machine 2-3 times a day.

I've been told the meter is only for waste water although I'm not sure what the difference is in bills etc.

Am I about to he paying £££ per month for water? Confused

You may be able to get your water bill "capped" because of your ds's condition and/or the fact that you have 3 children.

You need to contact the water company and apply. If accepted, your costs will be limited to the average household bill for that water company, however much you use. The company will then check each year to see if your situation remains the same.

We pay £40 a month for a two bed apartment, 2 adults and a baby.

And when I phoned up to say Shock, I was told that was average ££ for a 2-3 person adult household.

Depends how much you currently pay?!
