yes, the stuff might smell.

do you have no outside space? Do you know someone who does and would let you use their line?

it is such a beautiful day!

I wouldn't want to leave clothes damp for so long, although they might be ok. Good idea to go to launderette to get a load dried, why don't you just wash them tomorrow before you go to the launderette.

Hi. Thank you. I have now taken advantage of the lovely weather and put stuff outside!!

But still wondering how ppl plan the logistics of this. I couldn't be organised enough to wash Tom and go to the laundrette Tom without it taking over the whole day! I have 3yo and 11 mo who take up most of my time ...

Why not drop it all into the laundrette for a service wash?

Service wash!!

Hi, I plan the logistics of this by just doing washing every day, however much or little, I have a tumble dryer and dry it in that. Tbh, we don't hav enough clothes to manage to keep it all piled up for several great big loads!

Couldn't you put the washer on timer (or just put it on first thing) so it's washed the stuff by 8 in the morning? Then the real challenge of the day is to get to the laundrette for the drying.

When I have done this I do a load mid evening, fold it (damp) before bed; a load overnight on timer set to finish early in the morning at about the time I get up, and at a push a third load first thing in the morning but on a shorter cycle - i.e. fleecy dressing gowns wash quick (about 1.5 hours) on mixed/synth whereas the cotton setting for bedding or towels with extra rinses takes about three hours.

Plan to get it to the laundrette by 9.30/10am and pick up mid afternoon. A lifesaver if there is a prolonged wet spell and bedding/towels backs up (the stuff that is really awkward to dry on radiators).

Dry only is much cheaper than a service wash round here (last serv wash was £13 Shock whereas drying is a fiver.

I think it's fine to wash stuff today and take it to the launderette to dry tomorrow. I wouldn't leave it for more than a day or two. I've never actually done this as I haven't got a car and I think carrying quite wet stuff to the launderette would be too heavy, but I've just done a wash load this evening and I'm leaving it in the basket overnight to put on the line tomorrow.
