Please does anyone know if you can buy a storage container for weetabix?
I have these for special k etc. But I wanted, ideally, a see-through plastic tube, similar, in the shape of weetabix, for their storage.
Is there such a thing?

Oblomov, are you me Grin? I'd like one too.

MildredH · 17/05/2013 17:04

Ooh, and me. The box sits in front of all the nice tidy plastic containers for other cereals and it irritates me every time I have to move it to get to the Shreddies!

HeartOfDixie · 17/05/2013 17:07

Yes you can. I have two and they are fantastic. Lakeland sell them. Can't link as on my phone but if you can't find them pm me and I will send you the details.

Oblomov · 17/05/2013 17:55

Lakeland you say? Off to investigate ........

Is it this Lock & Lock one?

ItsAllTLAsToMe · 17/05/2013 18:31

9.2 x 5.2 x 24.2cm = Weetabix tube dimensions

Blush = my face

Oblomov · 19/05/2013 12:29

It's All, that is the one I have ordered. I couldn't find any better option.
I hope its o.k.. One reviewer said it was perfect for weetabix. Hope she's right.

Why the Blush, have I missed something?

I was just embarrassed to be measuring Weetabix tubes!

Let me know how the box is Smile. I might just start using a Klippit on the open tube in the meantime.

Frikadellen · 20/05/2013 00:45

This is what we use for weetabix and it is perfect for it here

Sunnyshores · 20/05/2013 17:35

Oh no.... does everyone put their cereals in plastic boxes?
Is this going to be like that MN moment when after 2 babies I learnt that babyvests had those wide open necks so you could pull them down over the body too.

MinimalistMommi · 21/05/2013 17:11

Sunny Hmm I've had two babies and didn't know that...Blush

Sunnyshores · 21/05/2013 19:55

Its so obvious now though itsnt it!!

Rocksie · 21/05/2013 22:20

Sunny I've learned something new with this and I've had 3 children!

Frikadellen how many weetabix can you fit in there?

pictish · 21/05/2013 22:22

I didn't know that either sunny - and I've had 3! Blush

vanillamum · 25/05/2013 23:30

If you would be happy with a tin one weetabix themselves make tins for their biscuits. I have one from the seventies and you can always get them on ebay www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WEETABIX-Jubilee-1936-1986-Collectible-Tin-/151051645603?pt=UK_Collectables_Advertising_ET&hash=item232b6132a3

flatmum · 28/05/2013 08:30

Bloody hell I've had 3 and the best thing never occurred to me either! And I thought I was clever by having a special rolling up mechanism for getting a pooey one up and over the head too!

Anyway, I've got a klippit one, the chunky rectangular one, whih fits a while packet in perfectly, double row.

wheredidiputit · 28/05/2013 09:08

Well I had 3 and never knew that about vests.

Can't with the weetabix box as they are the work of the devil. But I would like a pot/tub to put my spaghetti in.
