Could a professional clean solve the problems with our gas cooker

Moved in 3 months back and inherited a Belling range style gas cooker.

It looked like it had never been cleaned, gave it a good clean but two of the hob burners still won't light (can't even hear the gas coming through on one!) and the main oven can take an age to light and never seems to reach full temperature.

Could a clean by one of these cleaning companies potentially solve these problems or is likely to be a case of a new cooker?

I think maybe you should start with a gas guy. You know, someone with that CORGI registration.

Yeah I'd get a gas person too. It sounds like your gas pipes may be blocked somewhere, or there is a problem with pressure/supply.

I'd confirm that it's actually safe to be using, and that there isn't a mechanical fault, before trying a cleaning company.

Thanks both, hadn't even thought of that possibility will get DH on the case.

We have a Belling range cooker - none of those probs! I would definitely call the cooker man before wasting money on a cleaner!
