cleaning a 1960s fabric sofa that has a slight musty smell

inherited a great retro sofa, it's in really good nick apart from been stored for a while so needs freshening up. Was thinking about lightly scrubbing the covers (they don't come off) and leaving it to dry over night. Hoover it first, for dust??? Help me wise ones

Sprinkle a good load of bicarb or shake n vac all over it and leave over night then hoover well the next morning. May need this doing a couple of times.

Ok thanks. Don't have that much bicarb. Would talc work!???
