I know, i know - i shouldn't iron but i quite like to

My iron is on its last legs but don't know if its worth spending a little bit extra?? I'd never spend crazy money on a steam generator one - no matter how good they are though!

Tbh the only difference you need to look for is the steam in g/min (grams per minute) and the quality of the soleplate.

There are plently of instances where a cheaper version can be as good as a dearer one. but IMO with an iron, if you can you buy a dearer one do. As my experience with irons is, if you buy cheap, you wil buy twice.

I know this isn't helpful, but if you can get a steam generator, you should - they're AMAZING - ironing is faster and things look so much better when ironed with the steam generator.

If you're someone who irons everything (sounds like you are Grin) then its an investment, as every fabric in your home would benefit from a steam generator.

I got a bosch one for £50 odd quid (bargain of the century) and it's brill. I have had a look online for you and cheapest I could see is £107 - so £50 more than your top spend, but as said it will save you hours.

To me an iron is an iron whether £20 or £50 . As long as it does the job and can survive the odd drop then good enough ! Likewise kettles, toasters, vacuums etc

the Philips ones come out well in "Which" tesrs.

Do you have a budget in mind?

The most expensive is not always the best.
