dettol mould and mildew remover - spray and leave for a few hours until you get round to rinsing it off

GlaikitFizzog · 01/03/2013 23:37

Bog standard bleach. Toothbrush. Dip. Scrub.

Or make up a bleach solution, put in a skooshy bottle, spray and leave, then rinse. And use the toothbrush on any stubborn bits! Sparkly white grout remains!! :o

MyCatHasStaff · 01/03/2013 23:42

I use Grotbuster which is thick bleach that clings to the grout. Squirt and leave for a while then rinse off.

Cantbelieveitsnotbutter · 01/03/2013 23:44

I use white vinegar and a toothbrush. Leave it on then once its dry wipe it off

Brilliant thanks. Now what about mould on bath sealant?? The same?

The Dettol stuff Ilovepowerhoop mentioned will do both.

Toothbrush, bicarbonate of soda & bleach. . . Mix the bleach & bicarbonate of soda into a paste, scrub paste into grout with toothbrush, rinse off when it's dried in. Ta da. . Sparkly tiles & grout!

The toothbrush idea is inspired!!! Thank you!

SilentMammoth · 06/03/2013 04:47

I can't use bleach (septic pit). Any ideas?

KatyTheCleaningLady · 07/03/2013 09:46

You can use bleach, just don't rinse it down the drain. Make a solution and spray it. Let it air dry. The chlorine will evaporate, and not go down the drain.

SilentMammoth · 07/03/2013 12:17

Ah, brilliant, thank you!

Hand held steam cleaner. £9.99.

Is repulsive what it gets off, but strangely satisfying.

SilentMammoth · 07/03/2013 14:42

where can I get a hand hels steamer at that price from? And what else can I use it on?

NotTreadingGrapes · 07/03/2013 16:05

I got mine from Home Bargains (if you have those where you are) You can use them on everything! Cooker tops, watch that grease sliiiiiide away...windows, everything. They have little attachments to poke down narrow bits. Apparently you can do fabric as well, but haven't tried that.
