I need help ! Housework is not my strong point and I have put off cleaning my oven as long as possible. However the time has come and of course it's now in a pretty desperate state. I am in a rented house with an oven which has a self clean function. I don't have the user manual so I googled how to use it. It was scary stuff - lots of people saying that it might explode or shatter the glass door. On the other hand some of the cleaning products state that they should not be used on self-cleaning ovens. Obviously as it's not my oven I am loathed to cause it any damage, but it does need to be cleaned.
Any advice ?
