Tumble or heated airer?

Our tumble drier just carked it. It's 10 years old and has been in the spare bedroom. We need this bedroom in the next few months for dc2, so the options are:
-a washer drier (but I've heard they're rubbish) or

  • a heated airer and washing line

WDYR?

We love our Lakeland heated airer. It cost ~£85, but is well worth it IMO.

I would recommend the L/L heated Airer - it's not as quick as a tumble drier but doesn't cost as much and if you're not happy with it they have a life time no quibble guarantee!

I've got ours going and am aiming to get into the habit of drying the towels on it after the kids baths each evening for an hour or so to stop the house getting so damp.

I love my heated airer, but it's big so you do need to have somewhere to put it up.

Can you stack your washer and drier in a cupboard or garage? Drying indoors means you are going to get condensation / mould.

Afraid not wendy, no space :( think we're going to go for a washer dryer instead.
