Induction Pans; le Creuset, Michel Roux, or John Lewis?

New Hob = New Pans
Went to JL and have narrowed it down
Thoughts
Le Crueset: Pro's Quality, Name Brand to Trust. Con's Bit Heavy, handle not the nicest
Michel Roux: Pro's Quality, TV Name. Con's TV Name (Masterchef same as X-Factor to me)
John Lewis: Pro's Quality, Cheaper. Con's Not the wow factor of Le Cruset

So is there anyone out there using Le Cruset, 3 ply induction pans who finds then too heavy, or handle too annoying?

I'm virtually sold on them, but popping on here for the sensible view (instead of my man's, get the best/most expensive as has to be the bests and people will be impressed :)

Thanks

I've just bought some 3ply le creuset and non stick. Not used them yet (and won't until we get back from Christmas holiday). If you still need a verdict in a week or so I'll come back and post.

Well we recently bought some new Tefal pans. They cook beautifully, are dishwasher friendly and have a removable handle which makes them very easy to store. They done gave the beauty of Le Creuset but they are a fraction of the cost and much lighter to handle.

I've got induction and Le Cr. tend not to use them much as they are so heavy (without the food!). Tend to use them for the long slow cooking. Also a bit worried about banging them down too hard on the hob.

I treated myself to a set of Circulon Infinite when I had a new induction hob. However, they are heavy, take ages to get food up to temp and I tend to use my old pans that I didn't have to chuck and a couple of IKEA pans.

The IKEA ones are by far the best compromise in terms of quality, weight and response.

Save your money, don't buy heavy stuff is my advice.

Echos thinkfast Def Fissler, have had them 12 years, still as good as new.

I have le crueset 3 ply and an induction hob. Love the pans - heavy but not excessively so, heat up quickly and cook evenly. Only thing i'd say is they are quite large. If you buy the set of 3 plus frying pan you might need an extra small or medium pan. Not sold on the frying pan though.

Le crueset :) 100%
