Should heat be escaping through oven door?

I have a Neff oven, 5 years old.

There is some heat escaping at the top - the seal appears to be in tact, but does have a bit of movement in it, its a bit loose and not taught round the edge of the cavity.
Don't want to fork out for a new seal if its meant to be like this.
MIL has been on at me for ages about it - she's coming for Christmas so I need to sort it!

Does anyone know? TIA

oven doors usually seal round the edges but have a vent, often hidden behind the handle, for fumes to escape.

do you think your door is bent or has been wrongly refitted after taking off for cleaning? look at the instructions which will probably tell you how the door comes off. Often a tab by the hinge.

The seal will probably have a visible dirty mark if fumes are getting through it. If you turn on the grill element so it burns off the fan coating, see where the smoke comes out.

The hot air may also be the fanned air used to keep the casing cool
