Sheila's Maids - do clothes dry?

Have built a new utility room which has turned out to have a suprisingly high ceiling. Got me thinking I could put a Sheila's Maid thingy up there and maybe get rid of my fold out airer and stop having stuff all over radiators. But do they actually work? (There is normal central heating in the room, but no boiler or anything there to add extra heat.) TiA

Yes they're fab. Mine hangs above a radiator in the utility and most stuff dries overnight. Even in the (non existant) summer when the heating wasn't on, clothes dried more quicker than on my old zigzag fold up type airer.

more quicker?? Just quicker!

I want one in my dining room but cant decide if clothes will end up smelling of cooking.

They are wonderful even if you don't have a really high ceiling

A sheilas maid is a good way of transferring water from the washed clothes to the walls and windows of your home.

I have used one in 3 different homes and never had any issue with damp.
