would you risk a cool delicate wash?

It doesn't actually need cleaning, has been packed away as dd1 never wore it & will fit dd2 for this winter. Just don't know whether to risk it or not

If it's not stained I wouldn't bother. Stick it out on the line on a windy day to give it an airing.

it depends what its made of. My MIL bought a dry clean only coat for my son - don't know why as they spent the whole time wallowing in mud. i washed it many times and it was fine - but i knew that it was really no loss if it shrunk since going the dry clean only route meant it wouldn't have got used anyway.

wool may be a bit iffy - depending on the sort. acrylic maybe ok. also depends on any finishes as well, eg bows.

didn't risk it in the end, plonked it on the line with the rest of the washing this morning. Just hope dd2 doesn't spill on it or will be back again to ask the same question Grin

If it got spilled on I would try it, and but otherwise airing should be fine.
