Flippin drainage hole at back of fridge....

Seems to be constantly blocked. Bottom of fridge just fills up with water - I've cleaned out the hole, used a cocktail stick, turned up thermostat... to no avail. Any ideas how I can stop it running water down into the fridge?

I suck the gunk out with a wet and dry hoover if you can get use of one?

have you tried a pipe cleaner? Sounds obvious I know but worked for me.

or a cotton wool bud, stick it in and give it a good wiggle!

I suck the goo out with a syringe I originally bought for toddler medicine.

i pour boiling water and bleach down mine, catching it at the other end with a bowl. then put a bendy straw down inside the fridge and up from the bottom at the rear

Ha ha am loving the image of the sucking out of various drainage holes! So far have used a stick and straw - no gunk at all comes out. Next try will be syringe and then the bleach..........thanks ladies.

ugggh!!!!!!! don't suck whatever you do!! blow!!!

I have had this in the past and removed gunk with cotton bud then sprayed some Dettox mould & mildew remover down the hole. Now clean out regularly and give a little squirt with the Dettox. No recurrence.

Syringe didn't work. No sign of any gunk, seems as clean as a whistle. Yet still the water collects. Next try; cotton bud and Dettox.

UNPLUG IT from the electricity. Pull it away from the wall.

Round the back you will find a plastic evaporation dish on top of the motor. The tube drains into this. The dish will be full of grime, fluff and fungus. Clean it out. Take care not to allow water to splash onto any electrical part. Prod the tube from this end with a non-sharp non-metallic flexible thing. Hoover the black coils on the back or clean with a soft brush before pushing the machine back.

If it still doesn't drain, examine the internal gutter, clean it out, verify that it is correctly fitted to the aperture for the tube. It may have got dislodged. You may need to read the instructions.
