Mould on feather cushions

I have given up on the summer and have just brought in the cushions from the garden furniture to give the covers a wash and put them away for the winter. The covers are fine but out of the twenty large cushions probably about half of them have a patch of black spots on. Since they are feather cushions do I need to throw them away or can they be cleaned? They won't be cheap to replace unless I remove the feathers and make new internal cushion cases.

I wash my feather duvets and pillows, so definitely wash them with some stain remover, they need to be completely dry before storing away though and tend to smell a little, but this goes when dry.
You also need to keep fluffing them up to make sure all feathers are mixed up to dry.

Machine wash in a gentle cycle then tumble dry, fluffs them up nicely.

Right the first one has gone into the washing machine - fingers crossedSmile

Washing machine hasn't removed the mould spots. Think I might have to make new inner linings.

I cannot find my stains book( I kid you not, SPOTLESS) but you could try washing in a weak solution of bleach as its an inner cover.
Or lemon juice with salt, left for a few hours then washed, it works best on rust but that is pretty tough to remove so worth a try? I will endeavour to find my book for you.
