Cleaning chrome in the bathroom

I have a shower rail and a chrome garbage bin in our bathroom which have what I assume are rust stains on them, despite regular cleaning.

I cleaned last week with lemon juice and salt mixed as a rough paste. But the marks are now back. Have generally tried with vinegar (my usual cleaning solvent) but it isn't shifting them either.

I've just purchased my first e-cloth - v v impressed with it on glass and mirrors, but it so far hasn't cleaned these marks off chrome.

Help!

It's a bugger! I do have some success with windolene glass wipes though

Try Ozkleen

I haven't tried it on rust stains but it got rid of limescale around my taps and brought the taps up to a lovely shine.

It's not cheap (about £4.00) but there's a money back guarantee on it (keep your receipt)

if it is rust, household cleaners will not remove it unless they are abrasive. Abrasive or acid cleaners will temporarily remove it but will attack the surface so it comes back worse.

In a humid environment like a bathroom, chromed steel is I think bound to rust. Taps are chromed brass so do not rust. I suppose, start saving up for stainless steel accessories. Or plastic which should be cheaper.

Thanks PigletJohn and Mildredismyalterego.

I appreciate your information.

Thanks
