Its a single, used on guest bed. Dog has been in there and allergic nephew coming at weekend. Chuck it in washer (has duvet cycle) or chuck it out?

I would air it on the line and keep it for another time, and buy a cheap no-feather single for your visitor.

Thanks. I know you are right - just being tight! By the way he is allergic to the dog not the feathers! So I am not being a complete cow by contemplating him using it!

i would wash it, have washed my feather duvet and pillows tons of times.

they LOVE to be tumble dried though, and will take forever to dry if you don't have one.

I always take mine to the launderette and they pop it in the industrial size washers and then tumble dry too. They always come up good as new, all nice and fluffy again.

I think it cost me £10 last time for a king size 13.5 tog feather duvet and I had it back the next day, so pretty good value for money.

I have a washer dryer but that dryer generally doesn't work! It is currently out on the line. Will assess later!

Oh launderette is a good shout! Thanks for advice all! Couldn't believe it when I saw the label! Have washed other feather duvets.
