Kitchen waste recycling- is there an attractive option?

We have a council-supplied plastic bin for food scraps on our draining board. It seems there must be a more attractive option- stainless steel for example- I can buy? Also, the self composting liners are constantly falling in, making it a mess. Does anyone have a good solution?
I know- life is too short, but I am just back from holiday and have time on my hands!

I don't tend to use the caddy in the house (the thought of it puts me off). I keep the green bin (the big one) outside my back door and then scrape everything into that when cooking/after eating or whatever.

Our council provides us with a wheelie bin for bio waste, one for general waste, another for plastics, paper and light cardboard. They also provide a crate for glass and bio bags for childrens nappies all of which are collected on a rotating fortnightly basis so no need for small indoor containers.

We keep ours in a cupboard under the sink (small grey plastic bucket with a hinged lid which I bought from Sainsburys). Its only small and so the liners fully line it. Change it twice a week, no problem. All fruit/veg leftovers go on our garden compost heap though.

If you have a Home Bargains near you, there was a nice one in there today. It was stainless steel with a swing lid (like a tiny bin, about the size of a tea or coffee container). Was about £2.99 or £3.99, not expensive.

I have one looks like a mini dustbin in cream enamel, got it from amazon or eBay. Quite cute, replaced the council one.

I have an eddington one which looks like a mini stainless steel dustbin and use plastic liners off amazon which hang over the side. I think typhoon do some nice ones.

We use this from Lakeland. Doesn't smell thanks to carbon filters and tho it says to change every 3 months, I'm afraid I don't and it doesn't stink the kitchen out! (probably why I don't remember to change them!)

I have the cream compost bin 14.99 from Lakeland- good size and easy to clean. Love it!
