Washing machine drum repair?

My lovely John Lewis washer dryer has a drum 'issue' - it's been snagging all the clothes and when I had a look, the metal drum looks a bit rippled in one spot and further along there's a sharp bit (can't really see it) that I assume has been snagging everything.

Is this fixable? Do I need a new drum and if so, is it worth it? The machine is only about four years old. I feel :( with it.

Hi there the drum on my washing machine recently died and the repair man told us s drum is not worth fixing its an expensive job. we ended up buying a new machine. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news x

Thanks Dosey that's what I feared :(

Am wondering if I could use a round file to smooth over the rough bit.
