Practical level of crockery, pots, pans and cutlery etc - trying to minimise amount of cupboard space taken up.

Having a new kitchen fitted on Monday.

I'd like to start afresh with what is in the kitchen cupboards.

What's the minimum we can get away with on a practical level, I don't want to go too bare, but don't want to have the cupboards full of unused things again.

We're a family of 3 at the moment, but expecting a baby soon too.

Real problem is washing up, how often do you like to wash up? You can get away with just one of everything but washing up will be near constant. I know people who live like that, but doesn't appeal to me.

Thanks. Yes, that's my concern too. I don't want to go too bare and have to wash up everything all the time, but neither do I want the clutter like last time.

That's what dishwashers are for, they hold the unwashed items. :)
