Bumpy tiles in the bathroom?

I am getting my bathroom redone, it's a very small room with a shower-bath, toilet and basin. I am thinking white tiles on the walls with a thin blue-green glass border. Currently I have plain tiles that I squeegee over daily and clean with a soapy sponge weekly. The decorator has recommended bumpy white tiles, which I did see in a showroom. They look lovely as they seem to reflect light, but am wondering if it is much more work to keep them clean? Anyone out there have bumpy tiles ? What do you think?

I think it depends if you're in a hard or soft water area. They'd never work round here because the limescale builds up within a day, so sheer tiles are easier to clean, and need a wipe down after every single shower. Bumpy tiles would be fine if the water is soft. How much do you like them? Go for what you want, not what the decorator suggests.

I did like the look, very shiny and bright. But we are in a hard water area, so maybe need to rethink.

Is that those slightly bumpy tiles with a gloss glaze, that's what tile shops call "bumpy". They are no more work at all to clean than flat, cheap and cheerful. It's not as if they have grooves or anything.

sorry, missed the bit about daily squeegeeing - perhaps you would be better with flat. But they are no trouble to wipe down with a cloth.

hi fossil, thanks for that info, I think I will go ahead and get bumpy (sorry for the late reply, was out today watching the olympics cyclists go by!)
