Tried these people?

PoppyWearer · 21/06/2012 12:04

I absolutely adore my Filofax [retro 80s emoticon - Rubix cube?]

I've had one since I was a teenager and I luffs it. I bought myself a decent leather binder about...ooh...ten years ago and it's still going strong. Holds all of my crap. And the refills are only a few quid every year.

I do also put my appointments in my iPhone, but my Filofax never fails me.

MimsyBorogroves · 21/06/2012 12:14

Dodopad? I bloody love mine.

But it's not for the academic year.

TimeWasting · 21/06/2012 15:50

A5 Filofax, with a Dodopad Acad-Pad insert perhaps.

fengirl1 · 21/06/2012 15:56

There are lots of free pages on the web that are designed to fit a Filofax. Some of them are editable so you can personalise and adapt them to be just how you want them.

bounty007 · 25/06/2012 21:00

fen girl do you have a link??

Mum2Fergus · 25/06/2012 21:03

Try organisedmum.com, Ive just ordered the family life book after recommendations elsewhere on here...

pingulingo · 25/06/2012 21:48

Moleskine diaries - has one week to view on left hand side of page, and a lined sheet on the right hand side for to-do lists / notes etc.
Pocket at the back to fit a chequebook and an elastic stretchy band to keep your place and hold loose papers / notes.

This one is the size I have, and is perfect - like A5 but slightly taller:

Came on here to ask exact same question.

I have a big Organised Mum one but I'm wondering if there is a better one. I don't really use the budget planner bits at the back.

Anste · 26/06/2012 00:08

Filofax, you can't go wrong.

PoppyWearer · 26/06/2012 02:12

pingulingo I have slightly shocked myself by liking the Moleskine one in your link! Have ordered it (cheaper on Amazon) and might give it a whirl.

Although my Filofax is a VERY entrenched habit of about 20 years' standing (eep!).

PandaNot · 26/06/2012 21:17

I found Mum's Office to be better than Organised Mum ones. I use more of the pages and can use it for work and home so no double bookings.

newlark · 26/06/2012 21:27

I like the Moleskine 18mth ones but go for the smaller version for my handbag. The notes page each week is great for lists.

loislaine · 26/06/2012 21:30

I really like Organised Mum - especially the large calendar / planner it's brilliant.

fengirl1 · 26/06/2012 21:42

"bounty007" google filofaxy. Sorry, don't know how to do links! They have lots of different ones in different sizes. If you google free Filofax pages lots come up but I found this site most helpful for what I wanted.

fossil97 · 26/06/2012 22:29

I really like the Mum's Office diary, it's more compact than Organised Mum and does't have so many extraneous pages. And a lovely blackberry colour this year.

I liked my Filofax but I preferred the slimline one and it gets filled up too easily with a week to view diary. Spent hours printing special pages of Flylady routines for it once!

Do need appointments?

zipzap · 26/06/2012 22:52

The Sandra Boynton Mom's Family Calendar is a good calendar organiser - much jollier than the organised mum one and with lots more (and nicer) stickers to help too.

Haven't used the planner but have seen it and it seemed pretty good. They have them on amazon but currently at ridiculous prices - they are about £20 more expensive than they usually are Confused but they are nice, honest! and worth looking out for when the price comes back to normal.

pingulingo · 28/06/2012 12:12

PoppyWearer I'm not on commision for Moleskine, but I should be - I recommend them a lot! But I've had them for about 4 years and still think they are fab. Now you just need a super nice new pen to go with the new diary!
