Where can i get a long hall runner / rug?

Does anyone know where I can find one that is 3m long? Have been looking on the internet and they all seem to be a bit too short. Next do have a few in that length but not in a colour that would go with our hall carpet (red wine colour). Our current one is years old and is too far gone to even clean up well now, so we really do need to get a new one soon. Has anyone seen such a thing?

Mine was 100% wool and is still in excellent condition, especially since I dropped a can of black paint on the back of it a few years ago.

We got one from the local carpet shop like PP. As she found ours was reasonable too and we took it home immediately.

Try phoning round a few local independent carpet shops to save driving round lots.

thank you - i hadnt thought of the carpet shops. we happen to have two so will have a look in there next time i am in town.

You can also ask your local carpet shop if they have a stock carpet they can cut to size, have the edges whipped and bobs your uncle your own made-to-measure rug.

Ebay has got lots.

I didn't want to use local carpet shop again, apart from cost, and bought one last week in charity shop, after checking it would wash in machine then drying flat.

Laura Ashley do a few nice ones and good price in the sales.

We got one from Homebase a few years ago. It is made of very hardwearing doormat type stuff and you buy it by the metre off the roll. They probably still sell it and ours is 3-4 metres long and was not that expensive so probably worth a look if you're in Homebase

We got a Europlush to go right down our long hallway and it has been very good.
