Removing old stains from baby clothes?

Zara1984 · 15/06/2012 17:25

I was given (and am very very grateful to have received!) 8 big bags of baby clothes from a work colleague.

Some of these clothes have stains (not sure from what - mostly on the upper part of garment so presumably food/milk/vomit?) and I need tips on how to get dried in/old stains out of baby clothes! Soak in napisan/vanish then wash?

Wash in bio then direct sunlight dampen/wash again til they come out.

You could use a solution of washing sodas to get them started.

If they were tumbled dried though then stain has possibly set but above still worth a go.

Yes napisan is also good but more expensive.

Thanks! I know this person doesn't have a tumbledrier so am optimistic about stain removal....

Also can I use fabric softener on baby clothes??

Soak overnight in a bucket with bio powder and biotech then wash (add some more biotech to the wash). Do an extra rinse cycle to get all the detergent out.

I personally never use softener on the children's clothes and have pretty much given up using in on mine and DHs.

That shoud be biotex not biotech - autocorrect strikes again.

You can put to be honest a capful of White vinegar is better for the environment and machine. You can't smell it either.
