how to store soft toys / school work?

help- currently boarding our loft and weve got hundreds of soft toys in bin bags- dc want to keep most of them(ages 8,13,15,17) how do i store them until theyre older and move out without getting musty/mouldy?
and all theyre school work/books ect with 4 dc its taking up half the attic
i have everything for each child from nursery.
should we keep everything?

My soft toys to keep are in lidded plastic boxes - bingbags are made to degrade these days and don't last! I am assuming they will be OK in these but to be honest. They were washed and aired before they went in.

I did insist on a bit of a purge though. And also I found they can't throw out too many at once, but if you revisit years months later they will agree to more to be rehomed.

Schoolbooks - I've kept a selection that is interesting to look back on, eg first stories, projects, a selection of artwork. Nobody seems that interested in worksheets from Y2 several years down the line!
