DH is incredibly accident prone. He managed to spill petrol all over himself when filling the car up. He soaked his top in fairy washing up liquid (rather than fairy washing powder that I suggested). He popped it in the washing machine with the rest of the washing (after I had asked him if he'd cleaned it first and him saying yes) and suprise suprise all of the washing stinks of petrol. So he put it on for a second (and longer) wash using baking powder (??? he looked it up) with said top still in washing machine. Just awaiting the fait of our clothes but does anyone have any ideas of how to get the smell of petrol out of clothes? It would also be good not to be highly flammable when wearing our clothes. Any ideas (besides giving my husband a clip round the ear) of how to sort this out?
