Steam mops

Im thinking of get one, but can they be used on laminate flooring?

I am looking at getting one too. Think they can be used on laminate floor but not unvarnished solid wood. Which one are you thinking of going for?

I don't know, I'm hoping someone might come along and suggest a good one on here. I've heard about ones with extra attachments so you can steam clean surfaces too. It depends on price aswell. Decisions decisions...

I'm sorely tempted by it as it cleans carpets, widows, curtains etc as well seemingly.

I have a steammop and even though it's apparently the best on the market (independently tested by Consumer institute) I find a regular mop easier, quicker, and does a better job on my lino and wooden floors. Complete waste of money and space. I would sell mine but my lovely neighbour gave it to me and wouldn't want to risk hurting her feelings if she found out I sold it.
