I have lots of grime round my taps, perhaps limescale, that I struggle to move. I use Cillit bang, but any other tips?

White vinegar and bicarb.

Vinegar dissolves limescale and bicarb is abrasive Smile

Oh, and use a toothbrush to scrub it in.

"barkeepers friend" cleaning powder will do it

alternative, as to so many things, is to save up for a water softener

it's true!

Fliss, great tip about using a toothbrush.

Piglet, totally agree, but I really want to move so will do so in next house!

bicarb is the best, esp on tea stains!

Cillit Bang is pants. Viakal the lot. If the limescale is really stubborn around the taps, soak a little bit of cloth (old t-shirt/muslin or similar) in the Viakal and tie it round over night.

I think HG limescale remover is the best.

Plus toothbrush - essential.

A capful of bleach in hot water and leave over night. Sink sparkles in the morning :)
