Washer dead, repair man (DH) not getting on with looking at it.

Anyone got a fool proof system for getting things vaguely clean and soap free by hand.

yes make sure soap powder is fully immersed (cant think of word) before adding clothes as you will end up with white spots...leave to soak for a little while then vigourously rub....leave on drainer....rinse several times....leave on drainer....for more heavier stains use a scrubbing brush on jeans etc...hth

ps deffo sort out whites from colours as they do run

I would be hiding any clean clothes that belong to the repair man (DH), particularly any especially comfortable/favorite items and claiming that they are dirty...

Buntingbunny · 01/06/2012 13:47

Tempting-

Sadly, he hasn't a clue what clothes he owns and cares even less.

Erm ... Launderette?

You're not seriously going to start washing all the family's clothes by hand are you? Are you??

Or ...

take the washing to the launderette.

Or ask a friend or neighbour if you could use their machine.
