Bio vs non bio?

I'm sorry for the silly question...but what is the difference? I know non-bio washing powder is better for sensitive skin, but does bio wash clothes better? Is one better for the washing machine?

RavioliOnToast the rash is a reaction to chemical perfumes used and isn't because of the enzymes. In many countries across Europe, Australia and the US, non-Bio doesn't exist. Sensitive bio is available, but these are usually scent and dye free.

Wow! All this expert info, and I'm still trying to figure out how to measure the correct quantity of powder without a powder scoop! Haha I came across this post as I was looking for an answer to how much of my non bio Fairy powder to put in per wash. I have no measuring scoop so any info (even if it's in table spoons) would help me greatly :)

I might add that my tea towels are not coming out stain free (my previous powder was Bold 2in1) but is this perhaps because I've only been washing them on a 40 rapid wash? Gosh I'm so bad at this stuff!

You can order a scoop here

We are staying with family, MIL insists on non bio, but puts it on a short wash with a shit ton of fabric softener
I itch so badly, but nothing I can say will make her change her ways!!!
I've tried doing my own washing, but she likes to contol all laundry.
When I do manage to get my hands on my own washing, it's bio, no softener, normal rinse and as if by magic my itch has gone!
I think a hell of a lot of problems are caused by too much detergent and not enough rinsing. Whether it's bio or non bio.
