Landscape gardeners

We have a really impractical garden for the DCs. It's the size of about three postage stamps and consists of an oval of grass edged by bricks, and the spaces between the bricks and the fences are a mixture of paving and single. It's hard to keep in good condition as the slabs/shingle are an uneven bodge-job and weeds spring up like they're going out of fashion.

I know absolutely nothing about gardening but would like the entire spaced grassed over (ironically it used to be before the previous owners moved in, according to the neighbour!)

Do you think a professional would charge a fortune to do this?

My best friend is a soft and hard landscaper. If you send me precise measurements I could get a rough idea for you. I assume you'd want turf rather than grass seed?

You would need a skip I think.

Hi, when you dig a spade in how much top soil depth do you have an how good is the soil.. By this I mean is it orange/red and clammy kind of clay or rich and dark and crumbly..
Getting a grt lawn starts with something good to grow the grass into, it may be that the old lawn was scalped before the paving was laid so you might have to replace a bit of soil to help establishment.
Pm me, we are Gardeners/landscapers as the lady before dimensions will help as lot and also a description of what it is like under the slabs.
