Have seen a cheep one and wondered if ity would help with my pile of laundry but not be as 'harsh' on my clothes as the tumble dryer

I have one, it's great. In Scandinavia they use them all the time. (Also fantastic for damp jackets, etc. on a rainy day) Only question is why is it cheap as they tend to be quite expensive here in the UK. They are a bit delicate in construction and the door needs to be fitted properly, so if you're buying it used, I'd be a bit careful. Also it needs to vent either with a hose through a window/door or be in a room with the window open.
